Terms of Reservation(s)This agreement is between Event Scooters (ES) and the purchaser of a reservation (CUSTOMER) for the rental of an electric powered single rider handicap scooter for the use at the designated event or venue (EVENT). Please READ THE ENTIRE AGREEMENT before accepting this formal agreement for the terms of service and payment for services.
Section I: Terms of Reservation(s)Customer understands that the reservation for the electric powered scooter is only honored on the date and time specified by the reservation and the reservation is non- refundable and non-transferable. Reservations are available for pick-up at the start of business on the day of the reservation and must be picked up by 11:00am on the day of the reservation. CUSTOMER agrees and understands that is only guaranteed until 11:00am local standard time, after which ES will no longer guarantee availability of the electric scooter reservation although in most cases ES is still able to service late arrivals. Customer acknowledges and agrees to the ($6.00) non-refundable reservation processing fee added to the cost of the reservation and understands that an additional processing fee will be charged for changes to the reservation. CUSTOMER agrees and acknowledges that all cancellations/changes must be made 48 hours prior to 12:01 AM date the CUSTOMER stated in the reservation in order to receive a refund less a $6.00 processing fee.
Section II: Payment(s)The CUSTOMER agrees to pay without dispute the amount shown for the reservation and any and all optional charges related to the reservation selected by the CUSTOMER. CUSTOMER further agrees that all disputes for charges made by the CUSTOMER to ES will be decided by ES after contacting ES at reservations@eventscooters.com or calling (262) 677-2696. CUSTOMER agrees that all decisions made by ES are final and no other recourse will be pursued in any event other than the fraudulent charges. CUSTOMER agrees to and understands that all reservations contain a $6.00 non-refundable processing fee and that any cancellations must be within the provisions of our cancellation/change policy in Section III of this agreement in order to receive a refund.
Section III: Refunds and Cancellations: CUSTOMER understands that refunds are at the sole discretion of ES and any and all refunds will be credited to the form of payment used to make the reservation. CUSTOMER acknowledges and agrees that any and all cancellations must be received prior to 48 hours before 12:01AM of the date that the CUSTOMER specified in the original reservation. All cancellation requests will be credited for the reservation amount paid less the six-dollar ($6.00) processing fee and a six-dollar ($6.00) cancellation/change fee if the customer has purchased Cancellation/Change Insurance from ES at the time of the reservation being placed and purchased. No cancellations/changes are accepted after the respective deadlines for cancellation/change and no refunds will be issued for cancellations/changes made or requested after that time.
Section IV: Cancellation/Change Insurance For the terms of this agreement, “Insurance” shall constitute the agreement of ES to provide assurance to the CUSTOMER of a full refund of the reservation amount paid by the customer excluding the six-dollar ($6.00) cost of the Cancellation/Change Insurance. Under this policy the customer may cancel or change a reservation 48 hours prior to 12:01 AM local time of the event selected on the day of the reservations. No cancellations or changes are accepted after the respective deadlines.
Section V: Legal Statement This agreement shall be considered legal and binding through the term of the reservation made by the CUSTOMER. If any section or portion thereof shall be determined to be unenforceable by a court of law, all other sections or remaining portions there shall remain in full effect. This agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin and all grievances filed thereon must be filed within the jurisdiction of the State of Wisconsin, U.S.A.
Section VI: Use Agreement & Rules (to be completed and signed upon pickup of reservation) PLEASE READ COMPLETELY THE POWERED SCOOTER IS A SINGLE PERSON CHAIR ONLY. CHILDREN ARE NOT ALLOWED TO OPERATE THE SCOOTER. USE CAUTION AT ALL TIMES AND DRIVE CAREFULLY. Guest shall have the right to use the POWERED SCOOTER specified above in the designated public areas of the EVENT during normal business hours on the date of this Agreement reservation. Guest acknowledges that the statements set forth below are true and correct and he/she has permanent or temporary medical necessity to rent/utilize the electric scooter/cart. Guest agrees to follow all rules and regulations of Rental Agent and the Event for the use and operation of POWERED SCOOTER. Guest agrees to return the POWERED SCOOTER to the point of taking possession by no later than the close of business of the event on such date. AVOID HILLS, STEEP RAMPS, AND CURBS. GUEST’S STATEMENT: I have received the basic training on the use and operation of the POWERED SCOOTER and will take the opportunity to ask questions concerning its safe operation. I agree to let no others ride or operate the POWERED SCOOTER. I understand that the instructions on the POWERED SCOOTER. I understand that me and my insurance carrier are responsible for any liability for the injury or damage to any person and/or property (including the POWERED SCOOTER) caused by me in my capacity as operator of the POWERED SCOOTER. Further, Rental Agent and its affiliates, agents, employees (“Rental Agent") and the Event and its affiliates, agents, and employees shall not be liable for or responsible for, and shall be saved and held harmless by me from and against any and all claims for damages of every kind, for injury or death of any person or persons and for damages to or loss of property, arising out of or attributed, directly or indirectly, to the use and or operation of the POWERED SCOOTER by me. I UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL FORFEIT MY RENTAL FEE AND THE CART/SCOOTER MAY BE CONFISCATED IF I DO NOT COMPLY WITH THE RULES AND REGULATIONS AS STATED.

Reservations are held until 11:00am daily
 

If you need to make changes or cancel your reservation, THEY HAVE TO TAKE PLACE 48 HOURS PRIOR TO THE START OF YOUR RESERVATION.

Please proceed to www.eventscooters.com, click on the change/ cancellation tab (right hand corner on website home page in red, cancel/change your reservation and rebook the desired dates. If you have difficulties making changes or cancelling your reservation, please call 262-677-2696.

Refunds will not be given once the show has begun.


WARNING!!!!!  
 YOU WILL LOSE YOUR SCOOTER WITHOUT REFUND IF YOU VIOLATE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

* Children are NOT allowed to ride on the lap of the operator.

 

* You are the only authorized operator of the handicap scooter.

 

* Scooters are for a single operator, NO PASSENGERS!!!!

 

* Scooters can NOT be parked in aisles, exits or fire lanes.

 

* Driving in an aggressive manner or that is viewed as reckless.

 

* Drinking alcohol is not condoned while operating the scooter.

 

* No Towing of any kind will be tolerated.

NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN BECAUSE OF WEATHER or ONCE THE SHOW STARTS.

Q1. Is my credit card charged upon making a reservation?

 YES, your credit card is charged at the time of making the reservation. 
     
Q2. Is there a weight restriction for the scooter? Can 2 people ride the scooter?

YES, our scooters are rated to accommodate a 350lb. person for 12 hours. The scooter is manufactured for 1 person only. No grandchildren, kids or additional riders will be tolerated.  A violation of this policy will result in forfeiture of your rental!

Q3. Does the scooter stay charged all day?

Our scooters are fully charged daily and will generally last all day.  If your scooter does lose charge throughout the day, a replacement scooter will be brought to your location. Each scooter has an attached phone number to call if this happens.

Q4. Where do I pick up my scooter and is it close to the parking lot?

You can pick up your scooter inside gate 3.

Q5. Do I need my paper confirmation to pick up my reservation?

An email confirmation is sent upon completion of your reservation. Although it is not mandatory it does help expedite the process.

Q6. Can someone else pick up my reservation?

Yes, since we require a valid Credit Card/State I.D. for collateral, please have the renters collateral form with the person picking up the scooter. Keep in mind the person, the driver of the scooter is liable even though they did not sign for the scooter.

Q7. What is the cancellation/change policy?

You can cancel your reservation for a full refund (minus the $5 processing fee) if you purchased the cancellation/change insurance when making your reservation. All cancellations and changes must be made 48 hours prior to your original rental date. Please click on the RED TAB labeled cancellation/change on our website home page. www.eventscooters.com

Q8. Can I consume alcoholic beverages while operating the scooter?

NO, although we cannot enforce this policy, the renter takes full responsibility of their actions when signing the insurance liability release form at the beginning of their rental.  Please keep in mind you can be sited for an O.W.I. while operating a scooter. Please research your state’s O.W.I. laws.

Q9. Do you rent your entire scooter inventory daily?

Typically, we rent our entire inventory on a daily basis.  We highly recommend you make a reservation if you know the date you plan on attending the event.

Q10. Do you hold back scooter inventory for walk-up traffic?

YES, we hold back about 10-20% of our inventory for walk-up traffic depending on the event.  However, we suggest if you do not make a reservation; plan your arrival at the event at the posted opening time, but there is no guarantee a scooter will be available.

Q11. When do you stop taking reservations for the following day?

We accept reservations for the following day up till 6pm CST. No same day reservations are accepted.
